AXA Achievement Scholarship
The AXA Foundation will reward 52 $10,000 national scholarships, 1 per each state, Washington DC and Puerto Rico with an additional 10 students receiving $15,000, bringing their grand total to $25,000!   To qualify you must demonstrate ambition and drive, determination, respect for self, family and community and the ability to succeed in college.  For more information visit:  www.axa-achievement.com   You must apply by December 15. 

 
NC STATE PARK Scholarship
The Park Scholarship is valued at $59,000 over 4 years for North Carolina residents.  This scholarship also includes a stipend for a personal computer.  Park Scholars are selected based on:  scholarship, leadership, service and character.  If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Park Scholar, please see Mr. Lassiter or visit the website www.ncsu.edu/park_scholarships
The deadline for this scholarship is Tuesday, September 20.  Late applications will not be accepted.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program awards 250 achievement-based scholarships each year.  50 scholarships are payable for $20,000 and the additional 200 recipients will be given $10,000.  Each of these amounts is payable over a 4-year period.  Students must demonstrate leadership in school, commitment to community, academic achievement and part-time employment.  Applications must be submitted online by October 31, 2011.  www.coca-colascholars.org
Morehead Program at UNC-Chapel Hill

The Morehead is designed as an enrichment program combined with a college/university education.  Students will be exposed to other cultures and the “real world.”  Students who are interested in applying for the Morehead should pose qualities of:  leadership, scholarship, moral force of character, and physical vigor.  The Morehead is a merit-based program.  This program provides for each student:  tuition, room and board, books, student fees and spending money.  If you are interested in finding out more about this scholarship, please see Mr. Lassiter or visit the website.  www.themorehead.org The due date for this scholarship is September 16   You may self-nominate for this scholarship if you feel you meet the criteria.
Hampden-Sydney College
The Davis Fellowship
The Davis Fellowship is a full scholarship offering tuition, fees, room and board for up to four years.  Seniors who are selected will be required to write an essay, documenting the breadth of their interests and academic work as well as their plans for the future.  To apply for this scholarship, you must have submitted an application to the college.  Apply at www.hsc.edu  
QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship
The College Prep Scholarship allows students to access many opportunites through one application.  10 full scholarships to college summer programs at Harvard, Stanford, Notre Dame, and Yale.  40 awards of college admissions counseling, 1,000 invitations to QuestBridge College Admissions Conferences at Stanford and Yale and 100 all expense paid visits to top ranked colleges.  This College Prep Scholarship application is free of chard and is due Sept 30.  Visit www.questbridge.org to apply. 
Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
If you have made a difference through volunteering over the past year, you could win $1,000 and a fabulous trip to Washington, DC.  Visit http://spirit.prudential.com or www.pricipals.org/spirit and click on Apply Now.  Once you have completed your online application to the Certification page to either e-mail certification instructions to your certifier or to print them out. This must be done by November 1. 
UNC-G Merit Awards Program
UNCG is proud to provide information for this years scholarship resources.  UNCG is looking for current high school seniors with a minimum 1800 SAT or 27 ACT and a 3.5 GPA.  The annual award amounts range for $2500 to FULL TUITION, fees, room and board and are renewable for 4 years. Belk Scholarship
Davidson College invites you to apply for the John Montgomery Belk Scholarship.  The scholarship is worth $6000 to go towards summer international studies.  See Mrs. Skinner for more information.

The Bryan Scholars Program
Scholar Athlete
This scholarship program is seeking qualified student athletes who present outstanding academic records, are strong leaders both in the classroom and in their sport.  The Bryan Scholarship finalists will participate in mandatory on-campus interview on November 6-7 and winners will be announced by November 10.  
Thomas Wolfe Scholarship
This scholarship is a full undergraduate support for student writers hoping to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall.  Applications are available at http://english.unc.edu/creative/tws all submissions due by November 1. 
UNC-Charlotte Merit Scholarship
UNC-C’s scholarship for Merit is awarded to current high school seniors that have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and service to others.  Scholarships range from $3,000-$14,000 annually.  Applications for admission must be submitted by Nov. 1st and a scholarship application must be submitted by Nov. 15.  For more information visit:  www.admissions.uncc.edu/jum/admissions/scholarship.asp

UNC-Charlotte – Levine Scholars Program
The Levine Scholars Program takes the brightest, most capable students and gives them the tools, resources, and environment they need to connect and make a difference in the world.  The four-year scholarship includes full tuition, room and board, a grant to implement a service project of the Scholar’s own design and 4 summers of experience that will develop leadership skills.  The full scholarship is valued at $90,000 for in-state students and $140,000 for out-of-state students.  For applications and additional information, please visit www.levinescholars.uncc.edu
